Welcome to this site which was created to promote "Lectio Divina" in personal prayer every day but also in family, in groups, in parishes ...

At that time Jesus spoke up and said:

"I bless you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth,

to have hidden this from the wise and intelligent

and to have revealed it to the little ones.

Yes, Father, for it has been your good pleasure.

Everything was given to me by my Father,

and no one knows the Son except the Father,

and no one knows the Father except the Son,

and the one to whom the Son is willing to reveal it. ”

Matthew 11, 25 - 27

Christ clearly shows us that the prayerful reading of the Word is accessible to all, as long as we make ourselves "little"; in other words, that we are truly humble.

Certainly, the Lectio divina is a path, "a real spiritual journey by stages" which requires work, but it is simpler than it seems and we must keep in mind that it is about welcome a Person, Jesus Christ, the Word of God made flesh. To understand the Word correctly, the constant presence of the Holy Spirit is necessary, who “will bring us into all the truth” (Jn 16:13). *

Sincerely,

Robert NORGAARD
