We are starting the Lenten journey. It opens with the words of the prophet Joel, which indicate the direction to follow. It is an invitation that comes from the heart of God who, with open arms and eyes full of nostalgia, begs us: "Come back to me with all your heart" (Jl 2:12). Come back to me. Lent is a journey back to God. How many times, busy or indifferent, have we said to him: "Lord, I will come to you afterwards, wait ... Today I cannot, but tomorrow I will start to pray and do something for others" . And so one day after another. Now God is calling on our hearts. In life we will always have things to do and we will have excuses to offer, but, brothers and sisters, today is the time to come back to God.
